Echoes of Eden: Discovering the Ancient Roots of the Temple Endowment invites readers on a journey with Mike Day through the ancient Near East, biblical writings, the Book of Mormon, and early Christianity to illuminate the timeless reality of the temple.
Readers will discover a rich heritage of symbolism that has characterized temples and see how a covenantal liturgy was preserved across generations and restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. From the Garden of Eden and the coats of skins to Israel's journey out of Egyptian bondage and the sacred rites of early Christians, Day reveals the divine pattern established in Eden; preparing God’s children to return to his presence.
